Medical Courier Driver
BMT, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking qualified part-time drivers for a courier service to pick up and deliver time-sensitive documents and packages from a government agency on a scheduled, routine route for a long-term contract. Individuals are responsible for providing their own vehicle while maintaining customer interaction, as they issue and receive receipts of confirmation from customers to verify the transfer of goods. Encouraging retirees and veterans as well.
Qualifications
- Must have your own vehicle, no bigger than an SUV or minivan.
- Must have a dolly for transporting boxes, crates, etc.
- Position requires a high school diploma/general equivalency diploma.
- Same Day Service Courier and experience in handling sensitive with time through heavy traffic.
- Fingerprinting and Background checks for the various Government Agencies
- Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job is preferred.
- Applicants must have and be able to maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must have a clean criminal background and be able to successfully pass the company and government clearance process.
- Must be drug and alcohol free.
- Must be able to lift 35-50 pounds.
- Good sense of direction.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person and by phone.
Responsibilities:
- To maintain a stable vehicle that is properly insured
- Maintain official record of delivery tickets and daily work log.
- Interact with government personnel and professionally represent the company.
- Participate in ongoing training.
- Other duties as assigned.
