Part-Time Evening Courier

Position
Rocky Mountain Laboratories specializes in providing quick patient turnaround time and upholds high reliability and professionalism within our team. We seek a part-time evening courier to efficiently capture pertinent data and transport medical-related materials from internal and external customers.
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Must be able to start between 3:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. and work up to midnight.
W2 hourly team members receive an 8% shift differential for hours worked between 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., as well as for all hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of medical specimens to designated destinations, adhering to established schedules and protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the company vehicle, including regular inspections and reporting any maintenance issues.
- Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and guidelines while operating the vehicle and handling medical specimens.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and other team members to coordinate pickups, deliveries, and special instructions.
- Handle specimens with care and attention to detail, ensuring proper labeling, packaging, and storage during transport.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any concerns or inquiries from clients or recipients during pickups and deliveries.
- Assist with loading and unloading specimens, equipment, and supplies as needed, following proper lifting and handling procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all pickups, deliveries, and related activities using company-provided software or paperwork.
- Attend training sessions or meetings as required to stay updated on company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot issues or challenges encountered during daily operations, contributing to a positive team environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Personal auto insurance is required (no additional coverage needed for company vehicle use as long as personal vehicle insurance is maintained).
- Clean driving record.
- Active smartphone (Android or iPhone) with an adequate data plan.
- Minimum of two years of driving experience in previous roles.
- Computer proficiency and comfort using routing software and GPS.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
- Ability to operate a vehicle for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous medical courier experience.
- Familiarity with the Aurora/Denver metro area.
All positions require time zone awareness, including the impact of daylight saving time, as we are a multi-state organization with teams and partners across different U.S. time zones. Clear communication and timely coordination are essential.
Job Type: W2, Part-Time
Salary: $19.00 per hour
Eligible for a discretionary monthly bonus incentive
Anticipated Start Date: October 27, 2025 (or upon selection of the right candidate)

- Paid Time Off (PTO): Part-time team members who average 20+ hours/week are eligible to accrue PTO. Team members working fewer than 20 hours/week are not eligible to accrue PTO.
