Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Mail Delivery Driver (Independent Contractor) to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials safely and efficiently. As an independent contractor, you will be provided a set schedule to ensure timely deliveries and excellent customer service.
Duties:
- Delivers letters, documents, and parcels to businesses and homes.
- Travels planned routes on foot or by truck.
- Collects outgoing mail along route, and when necessary, collects money for postage due.
- Sorts mail, including packages, according to delivery sequence.
- Loads sacks and boxes filled with mail into your personal vehicle.
- Obtains signatures on registered, insured, and certified mail.
- Communicates with dispatcher and modifies route according to instructions when needed.
- Answers questions about USPS or company policies from customers along routes.
- Provides change-of-address cards and other postal forms.
- Operates postal equipment.

This is a genuine part-time morning position from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30p.m (Approximately). This is roughly a 5-hour start-to-finish route and would be 6 days per week, with Saturday included as one of the days.
