Now Courier is looking for a dependable Independent Contractor Route Driver with a minivan to complete a weekday delivery route in the Bloomington area.
This is a great opportunity for someone who is reliable, organized, and comfortable managing a consistent delivery route with multiple daily stops.
Route Details
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Start Time: Be at first delivery by 8:00 AM
- End Time: Deliveries completed by approximately 5:00 PM
- Coverage Area: Bloomington, Ellettsville, Springville, Smithville, Unionville, and surrounding areas
- Vehicle Required: Minivan
- Type of Work: Distribution
- Estimated Daily Stops: 40 to 75
- Estimated Mileage: 170 to 270 miles per day
- Commission Structure: Per piece
- Average Weekly Commission: $1180.00
- Sorting Required: No
What You’ll Do
- Complete a scheduled delivery route safely and efficiently
- Pick up and deliver items in a timely manner
- Follow route instructions and customer-specific delivery requirements
- Maintain professionalism and strong communication throughout the day
- Provide dependable service and represent Now Courier well in the field
Requirements
To maintain our industry-leading fleet of professional drivers, you must meet the following:
- Age: Be at least 21 years of age.
- Vehicle Requirements:
- Candidates must possess a Minivan.
- The vehicle must be 2013 model year or newer that is suitable for delivery. The vehicle must be in good working condition, maintain a professional appearance, be rust-free and pass a multi-point vehicle inspection
- Smartphone: Possess a smartphone capable of running our driver app.
- Licensing & Insurance: Hold a valid driver's license and commercial insurance coverage with a minimum of $300,000 combined single limit liability.
- Pre-Employment Screening: You must successfully pass a comprehensive pre-employment process before beginning work, which includes a:
- Driving History Review (past 36 months)
- Criminal Background Check
- Substance Abuse (Drug) Screening
