Job Description
MedLine Express Services is searching for candidates to subcontract delivery services in the Oakland Park and Pompano Beachareas. Our contracted drivers must display professional behavior and recognize the urgency and accuracy needed for this position.
Current need:
- Monday-Friday Drivers
- Pickup Time: 3 locations starting at 11:00AM
- End time: All stops complete / 8:00PM Latest - Day is complete at last stop, drivers who are more efficient will complete their route sooner.
- Average daily deliveries can range from 35-45 deliveries per day.
* Subcontractors are not employees; therefore, you are responsible for your own tax liability. Payment is made on a bi-monthly term. *
Qualifications:
- Must own presentable, reliable transportation (no pickup trucks) with full coverage insurance
- Must have a valid driver license and be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Highly motivated self-starter with exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Ability to operate in a dynamic fast paced ever changing environment with minimal supervision
- Must have a proactive approach to problem resolution, critical thinking, and problem solving in a dynamic fast paced environment.
- Basic computer skills, knowledge of mobile apps.
- Prior courier or delivery experience preferred
Responsibilities:
- Complete scheduled pick-ups and deliveries on-time
- Build relationships with customers
- Record completed tasks and obtain electronic POD's on delivery app
- Accurately navigate and execute each delivery
- Accurately communicate with dispatch center
