Job Description
BMT, a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is seeking qualified medical drivers for courier service to pick up and deliver time-sensitive documents and packages from a government agency on a scheduled routine route for a long-term contract. Individuals are responsible for providing their vehicle while maintaining customer interaction as they issue and receive confirmation receipts from customers to verify the transfer of goods. They are encouraging retirees and veterans to apply as well.
Qualifications
- The position requires a high school diploma/general equivalency diploma.
- Independent Courier may require 0-1 year of general work experience.
- Possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job is preferred.
- Applicants must have and be able to maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Must have a clean criminal background and pass the company and government clearance process.
- Must be drug and alcohol-free.
- Dollies are required.
- Must be able to lift 35-70 pounds.
- Great with Navigational systems and maps
- Must have SUV or VAN like vehicle to carry up to 15 stackable locked bins.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in person and by phone.
Responsibilities:
- Provide reliable transportation to complete routes to and from facilities
- Able to work 10:30am to 3:30pm (estimated)
- Maintain company vehicle (cleanliness, fuel, and scheduled maintenance)
- Maintain an official record of delivery tickets and daily work log.
- Interact with government personnel and professionally represent the company.
- Participate in ongoing training.
- Other duties as assigned.
