The ideal candidate will have experience in delivery driving, possess a strong work ethic, and be comfortable with heavy lifting and operating various types of vehicles.
Duties
- Must own vehicle with valid insurance and registration
- Load and unload goods, ensuring safe handling of items to prevent damage.
- Navigate designated routes efficiently while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time, location, and any issues encountered.
- Utilize warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks for loading and unloading tasks.
- Assist in moving items within the warehouse as needed.
- Ensure the vehicle is maintained in good condition, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and equipment handling is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual tasks associated with loading and unloading goods.
- Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Knowledge of route driving techniques and local area navigation is beneficial.
