Position: On-Call or Part-Time Driver
Location: Varies based on delivery routes
Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver packages or materials to specified locations.
- Load and unload items at designated pickup and drop-off points.
- Use appropriate PPE, including a hard hat, safety boots, and a vest, when required by the delivery site.
- Maintain communication with dispatch to ensure efficient route planning.
- Safeguard all materials during transport.
- Track and report mileage and deliveries accurately.
- Handle your own vehicle maintenance and upkeep as this role requires the use of your personal vehicle.
Requirements:
- A reliable personal vehicle (Sprinter Van, Cargo Van Pick Up Truck) capable of handling delivery loads.
- Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
- Willingness to use your personal vehicle for deliveries, accruing mileage.
- Ability to work on-call or part-time hours based on demand.
- Physical ability to load and unload materials. A helper with you is ok but not required
- Availability to adhere to safety protocols and use required PPE at some sites.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous delivery or logistics experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with using GPS and navigating efficiently.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working in varied environments and complying with site-specific safety requirements. Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required.
